Susan Goldstein, the San Francisco City Archivist, will provide us an in-depth tour of the resources available in the 6th Floor History room, including but not limited to:  different resources available including books, photographs, archival and manuscript collections, maps periodicals, etc.

In addition, Susan will discuss the digitizing projects and how they make materials available to the public, and the the role that their researchers provide.

The resources here are vast, and while their website is comprehensive, Susan's explanations will allow your beginning and later research to be vastly more efficient and productive.

For preliminary information, you can go to their  website.

Meet outside the 6th floor history room at 9:30.

After the tour, lunch (on your own) will be available in the food court at the Twitter building (formerly the San Francisco Furniture Mart.  This is a good spot for a group scatter lunch so if you have never eaten there, do join us.
