Martini Monday Happy Hour Alcatraz

Bring your martini, favorite libation or mock-tail to this Online Happy Hour with fellow SFTGG member and sought after Bay Area historian, John Martini. John will presenting on "Alcatraz Island: 200 Years on the Rock" and answer all you Alcatraz questions. This is a Not To Be Missed event!

Here is some information on John's presentation:

"Alcatraz Island: 200 Years on the Rock"
An amazing illustrated history of Alcatraz Island from its discovery by Spanish explorers through today's status as a world-renown National Park site. The presentation focuses on the infamous 1934-1963 era when The Rock was a federal penitentiary, including stories of the island's infamous residents, escape attempts, and its final closure. John’s talk also covers the island’s little-known early years when it served a Civil War fort and military prison, the "Indian Occupation” of 1969 that focused national attention on Native American causes, and the legacy of Alcatraz, especially its enduring Hollywood mythology.

This presentation is a FREE event for SFTGG members and their 'shelter in place' families and friends/guests. And just like a tour, gratuities are always greatly appreciated. We will be providing John's PayPal account to you with the link if interested to do so.
