Fwd: History hunt created to illuminate Sonoma Pla...
Author Last Post
Hi Greg,

Well, darn, I wish I could open this “History Tour” but for whatever reason I cannot open it. Is it really this controversial?? Or is it something to start a kids mind to question and take it to the classroom for further research?

Thank you for whatever you can do.

Sunny

To be fair, some of this "History Tour" seems pretty innocuous, such as talking about architecture.
But there are other descriptions of history which gloss over facts. I get this is meant to be entertaining and fun for kids, and should be. But this doesn't just leave out troubling facts better left for a classroom discussion and aimed at older students. I can understand leaving some events out, but to present them in a way that misrepresents history as puppies and rainbows is part of a trend all the rage in Florida.
I don't mean to be Grinch, but as someone who studies history this is like coal in my stocking.
Happy Holidays!
Best,
Reed
