San Francisco's first edition of the Renegade Craft Fair was held in 2008.

More than 250 artists and makers will converge along San Francisco’s waterfront this weekend as part of the Renegade Craft Fair’s annual winter market at Fort Mason.

The free event, held in the center's enormous Festival Pavilion, provides visibility to local and national artisans whose work emphasizes thoughtful designs and sustainable practices.

Open from 11 a.m to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, the fair brings together vendors specializing in ceramics, home furnishings, fashion apparel, leather goods and glass art. Attendees, who are encouraged to make a $5 donation to support the fair, can participate in hands-on workshops and listen to live DJ sets while enjoying food and drink from local businesses.
